Luxury full-day journey from Cusco via Sacred Valley...
The Sibinacocha to Ausangate hike takes us to see part of the Andes mountain range, one of the highest, quietest and most fantastic areas with Andean landscapes in Peru. Ausangate is the most representative mountain within the Andean culture in the Andes of Cusco.
DAY 1: CUSCO – TINQUI – PACCHANTA
You will be picked up from the hotel by bus and taken along the Cusco - Puerto Maldonado highway (via the Transoceanic Highway) in the direction of Tinqui (3800m / 12464 ft).
The first stop will be in Urcos (crossroads of the main bus road), there is a colorful market and then the road will continue towards Cattca, an agricultural and livestock community where you can appreciate the spectacular views of the region. Then finally pass through Ocongate, the capital of the district with the same name, it is half an hour from the destination.
After 3 hours drive reach Tinki where you will have lunch and then the hike is 3 hours to Pacchanta (4100m/13448ft), our camp. (Total hours of hiking - 3 hours).
DAY 2: PACCHANTA – QOMERQOCHA – LAGOON – JAMPA PAMPA (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
The second day begins with a slight climb from the Pacchanta valley to reach the beautiful Qomercocha lagoon, where lunch will be. After lunch, the hike continues to the first mountain pass, the Abra de Q´ampa (Jampa) at 5080 m / 16400 ft, after approximately 3 hours. Then they descend to the Ticllaqocha lagoons, they are a beautiful group of small turquoise lagoons. Finally, the hike continues for 2 more hours until we reach Jampa Pampa, where the camp is located (total hours of hiking - 6-7 hours).
DAY 3: JAMPA PAMPA – CONDORPASO (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
After breakfast, the walk is a gradual climb towards Yanaqocha or "Black Lagoon", named for the dark color of its waters. Passing over the Yanaqocha mountain pass (5050 m / 15564 ft) to discover a strikingly beautiful valley with an explosion of colorful mountains, 3 spectacular lagoons and the presence of llamas and alpacas. Then cross this valley to head towards our next mountain pass (5100m/16728ft). From this point, it is another hour of walking before reaching Abra del Condor, the next camp, located very close to the mountain pass with the same name. That will be the challenge for the next day. (Total hours of walking - 6-7 hours)
DAY 4: CONDORPASO – LAKE SININACOCHA – MOMORANI (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
After breakfast, the hike continues gradually climbing from the valley, this path takes us to the Abra del Cóndor mountain pass (5200 m / 17056 ft) for approximately 2 hours, then we continue for 2 more hours to reach the highest point. From that point, the hike will continue its course for an additional 3 hours, crossing another mountain pass along the way and then descending into the valley of Lake Sibinacocha.
We will camp next to the lagoon and very close to its source. From the camp it is very likely that you will be able to see Andean coots, "Huallatas" or Andean geese, as well as Andean ducks. (Total hours of walking - 6-7 hours)
DAY 5: MOMORANI – CCASCANA (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
On this day, the walk along the shore of the Sibinacocha lagoon for 3 hours until reaching the Yayamari community. Next to the mountain with the same name is an impressive rocky peak overlooking the lagoon (5500 m / 18040 ft). The walk is until we reach Abra Ccascana at 5000m / 16400 feet, which will take us to the lagoon of the same name. In that area is our last camp, from there we can have the opportunity to see "Huallatas" or Andean goose and maybe even flamingos.
DAY 6: CCASCANA – PHINAYA – CUSCO (breakfast)
Right after breakfast, the walk is 3 and a half hours towards Phinaya. This is a small Andean community with a beautiful small church and no vehicles except bicycles and horses, where lunch is located. In the afternoon we will return to Cusco (approximately 6 hours).

AUTHORITY ON THE TOUR. At all times, the decision made by the guide or company representative will be final on all matters that may endanger the safety and well-being of the travel group. The client must at all times strictly comply with the laws, customs and currency and drug regulations of Peru. If the client does not comply with the above, or interferes with the good of the group, then the guide or company representative may order the client to leave the tour without resorting to any refund. Majestic Travel Group ®; directly operates part of the services included in the program, but also makes arrangements with airlines, land (trains), hotels and other independent parties to offer you the travel services that you purchase. We do take all reasonable steps to ensure that organizations providing maintenance services meet our quality standards. However, these parties are independent suppliers over whom we do not have complete direct control, so we cannot accept liability for negligence of the staff of these organisations. The participant waives any claim against Majestic Travel Group ®; for any damage or loss of property, injury or death due to any act or negligence of any airline, ground transportation company, hotels or any person making any of the included services or accommodations.
It is responsible for the logistics for carrying out the activity, therefore, cancellations or modifications to the reservation at no cost must be made within a maximum of 48 hours prior to the tour, cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the activity, or if you do not show up, will be considered a NO SHOW. Without the right to reimbursement and a charge of 20% corresponding to administrative expenses.
Special program, the deposit for confirmation of services “is non-refundable under any circumstances.” Full payment one month before departure.
For cancellations/modifications made within 45 days prior to the package start date, the cancellation fees are as follows:- 45 a 31 días - 50% del precio del servicio.
- 30 to 16 days - 70% of the price of the service.
- 15 days before the travel date or less / no show: 100% of the total price.
Before 45 days the cost for cancellation is: 170 USD per tickets, in addition to the administrative cost. We cannot give any compensation or refund for meals, rooms, excursions, etc. There will be no refunds made for canceled or unused services at all.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that the client abandons the tour for any reason, extra expenses are the client's responsibility and the company is not responsible for any refund.
