Half Day City Tour

The tour begins with pickup at your hotel within the historic center of Cusco. The first visit is to the Cathedral, this impressive colonial church, which dates back to 1960, is located in the main square of Cusco, and was declared a world heritage site in 1972. Then, you will visit the most important archaeological sites in the city:

We will continue the tour with a visit to the Temple of Qoricancha (Santo Domingo). - "Temple of the Sun", its perfect architecture and stone construction reflect the fact that it was the most important temple of the Inca empire.

We will visit Sacsayhuaman. - This construction is attributed to the Incas of the last dynasties, it is located 3km from the city of Cusco, in the upper part. According to the chroniclers, it was a solar sanctuary, this temple was built with large blocks of limestone to protect the city from attacks by invaders from the East or Antis. It is made up of three large terraces superimposed in a zigzag shape and bordered by enormous rock walls.

As part of the visit to the 4 ruins we will visit Qenqo. - Located one kilometer from Sacsayhuaman, it was a ceremonial center, since in the central part you can see a giant monolith, possibly of an animal, which was the main deity, surrounded by niches, where offerings were placed.

To close the tour, we will give way to PucaPucara. - Old dairy, guard post along the roads. Its construction is rustic and consists of streets, houses and patios. Finally, Tambomachay, which is 9 km away. The city, known as the Inca baths for the shape of its water fountains, could also be a temple dedicated to the worship of water and the purification of the Inca.

At the end of the guided tours we will return to the city of Cusco to culminate a day full of adventures and new cultural knowledge.
