START

DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 104 – WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU

01 Box Lunch

We will pick you up from your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco and transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train to Kilometer 104. At this point, you will pass the checkpoint, where tickets and passports will be checked by the park ranger. From there, we will begin the hike (approximately 3 hours) until reaching the well-preserved archaeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, located at 2,900 meters above sea level.

After lunch, you will have time to rest and explore the houses, terraces, and towers of the site, as well as visit Inti Punku, the Inca Gate of the Sun, from where you will enjoy the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu. You will receive a description of the city of Machu Picchu and a guided visit through the most important sectors, including the main square and ceremonial centers.

After this incredible visit, you will return to the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) to board the train at the Aguas Calientes station, bound for Ollantaytambo (service, time, and destination indicated on your train ticket). Upon arrival, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco after a day full of adventures and new experiences.
