Luxury full-day journey from Cusco via Sacred Valley...
Embark on the famous two-day short Inca Trail, one of the best hikes in the world. This ancient trail, which connects the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu, will take you through diverse ecosystems and microclimates, while you immerse yourself in the history of the Inca Empire. Enjoy impressive landscapes of the Andes Mountains and the cloud forest, until you reach the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, where Inca architecture merges perfectly with nature. An unforgettable experience!
DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 104 – WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU
Box Lunch included.
We will pick you up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco and transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station. From there, you will board the train to Kilometer 104, where the Inca Trail checkpoint is located. After checking our tickets and passports with the Machu Picchu park ranger, we will begin the hike (approximately 3 hours) to the well-preserved archaeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, located at 2,900 meters above sea level.
After lunch, there will be time to rest and explore the houses, terraces, and towers of the site. We will then visit Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, where we will enjoy the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu. After a general orientation about the citadel, you will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants and spend the night at the selected hotel category.
DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby to visit the Machu Picchu Sanctuary and enjoy a full day of exploration. After this incredible visit, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a local restaurant. Later, you will board the train at the Aguas Calientes station to Ollantaytambo (service, time, and destination as indicated on your train ticket). Upon arrival, our transportation will be waiting to transfer you back to Cusco, concluding two days of adventure and new experiences.
